Geographic's Afghan Girl. So beautiful.

Meet Maranatha... a woman of depth and of beauty. Never before have I met someone as joyful as her! Anyone who's spent more than a few minutes with her knows exactly what I'm talking about. She gives so much of herself to others. Every ounce of her energy is devoted to spending time with others, to encourage them, to make them laugh, and to love on them. Her smile is incredibly contagious- you can't help but be overwhelmed with joy when you're around her. A gift from God, she has blessed us all in so many ways, and always fills us with laughter. 

That is a gift... to make people laugh.

She has such a giving heart and never asks for anything in return. 

But above all, her passion for God is what leaves me in awe. Her love for her Savior is so pure and stems from a great desire to be in the center of His will and to give Him glory in all that she does. She is a source of light where none in found and is not ashamed of her identity in Christ.

Just spending time with her challenges me in my relationship with Christ, and just watching her makes me want to have what she has.
